An experienced business consultant, who combines extensive clinical and managerial expertise to drive healthcare improvement and has undertaken work for the NHS, General Medical Council, Royal College Paediatrics and various leading advisory organisations
Deborah specialises in clinical workforce efficiency and leadership, including capacity and workforce planning to produce service plans that balance increased clinical productivity with improvements in quality and safety of service. Delivering clinical leadership and clinical engagement with a solid understanding of clinical impact to align staff and services accordingly.
A Consultant Paediatrician in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Lancashire NHS Foundation Trust. Paediatric clinical governance lead, paediatric endocrinology service lead and member of clinical research team in paediatric diabetes, obesity and endocrinology, Deborah is passionate about improving quality and safety in healthcare.
Deborah is also a non-executive director of a Clinical Commissioning Group governing body in Greater Manchester, a Vanguard site for radical transformation to improve healthcare inequalities and deliver an integrated health and social care system (Stockport Together).
Deborah is a qualified Medical Doctor, holds a CCT General Paediatrics, Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), a BSc (Honours) Medical Science and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Paediatrics) UK (MRCPCH). She also enjoys a range of outdoor activities including skiing, walking and climbing (including climbing Kilimanjaro in 2018).
